Cecille Brown-Villiers brings more than twenty years of experience in corporate and financial administration, along with strong knowledge of non-profit governance to the board.
She worked with Recreation Manitoba for six years as Finance and Membership Administrator, supporting an organization that promotes accessible and inclusive recreation opportunities for Manitobans. In this role, she contributed to financial management, membership administration, budgeting, board reporting, audit coordination, and day-to-day organizational operations.
Cecille accepted the opportunity to join the Board of Active Abilities Canada because she deeply believes in the organization’s mission to advance access and inclusion for people with disabilities in physical activity, recreation, and sport.
She holds the ACIS professional designation from The Chartered Institute of Secretaries and Administrators in the United Kingdom and later transferred her membership to Canada. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History and Social Sciences as well as a Certificate in Business Administration.
Outside of her professional work, Cecille also mentors a young adult group and supports community programming through volunteer leadership within her church. She enjoys nature walks, listening to music, gardening and creative activities.
